Law GAT Eligibility Criteria:
A common question among students is who can apply for Law GAT?
Now, let’s talk about eligibility. Many students from the 9th and 10th semesters or Part V (Final Year LLB students) are often confused about whether they should apply.
According to the eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed all 10 semesters or 5 years of LLB.
- "Passing" means that your final result should have been declared before the application deadline.
- If your result has not been declared before the application deadline, you are not eligible to apply.
- Students whose results will be declared after the application deadline cannot apply for this session.
Concerns About Delayed Results
Many students worry that their result may be declared 15 days or a month after the deadline, which could delay their law license. However, let me clarify:
- After completing your LLB, you need to file an intimation.
- The first intimation is followed by a second intimation after 6 months.
- Before sending the second intimation, you need to clear the Law GAT exam.
- If you miss this session, another Law GAT exam will be conducted within 6 months, so you will still have a chance to appear and qualify before your second intimation.
