Law GAT 15 December 2024 Paper

The Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law GAT) scheduled for 15 December 2024 for law graduates across Pakistan. Registration Announcement

The Law GAT 15 December 2024 Test was announced through an official advertisement published by the HEC on 8 November 2024. Registration Deadline

The deadline to register for the 4th Law GAT test was 25 November 2024. Candidates needed to submit their applications before the deadline; no late submissions were accepted. They had to pay the fee using the provided bank details and upload the payment slip as proof.

Key steps for registration included:

  1. Visiting the ETC HEC official website.
  2. Signup to the HEC portal using CNIC and by email. 
  3. Filling out the application form.
  4. Uploading the required documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, CNIC copy, and LLB marks sheets.
  5. Submitting the application and Download Bank Challan form.
  6. Upon submitting the fee, then proceed to login to your account and upload the fee receipt before the deadline. 

Test Date of LAW GAT 2024

The Law GAT 4th Test date was Sunday, 15 December 2024. The test was conducted in multiple major cities across Pakistan. Such as Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad , Multan , and others.

LAW GAT Test Format

The Law GAT test is structured to assess the candidate’s knowledge of law and related subjects. The paper consisted of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering the following subjects:

  • Constitutional History of Pakistan (Case Law)
  • Jurisprudence
  • Civil Procedure Code
  • Criminal Law
  • Law of Evidence
  • Professional Ethics

Candidates were required to secure at least 50% marks to pass the test. This passing score is mandatory for obtaining enrolment in the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) as an advocate.


Test Day Guidelines

To ensure a smooth test day experience, the following guidelines were provided:

  1. Admit Card: Candidates were required to bring a printed copy of their admit card, available for download from the ETC HEC portal.
  2. CNIC or Passport: A valid CNIC or passport was mandatory for identification.
  3. Arrival Time: Candidates were instructed to arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.
  4. Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, and any other electronic devices were strictly prohibited inside the test center.
  5. Stationery: Students were advised to bring a black or blue ballpoint pen.
